Introduction to Virtual Devices

ControllerMate can create virtual devices to create the appearance that additional devices are attached to the computer. The devices that can be created are:

Virtual Mouse — Controls the position of the cursor on the screen using relative mouse movements

Virtual Mouse — Controls the position of the cursor on the screen using absolute coordinates

Virtual Joystick — Behaves like a standard joystick

The behavior of the controls on these virtual devices is determined using ControllerMate's building blocks. Most other applications will respond to a ControllerMate's virtual device just like it would respond to an actual device.
